Endeavour searching a piffling in the archives of the Ford forum. The link below is to a tread I started a while agone for the Hydraulics on my 3000. My issue still isn't resolved, merely I have narrowed it down to the position/draft control adjustments.
To get at both hydraulic filters, drain the fluid, remove the seat, remove the transmission top cover, and remove the PTO shaft. I also removed the left floor board, but I tin't remember if that was necisary. I also call up there was an admission cover on the left side that needed to be removed.
The fastened picture is of my tractor after I changed both filters. The rear of the tractor is toward the right, the upper pointer is for the outlet filter, and the lower arrow is for the intake filter.

I don't think it will be possible to remove the filters without removing the top plate. You volition demand all the room you tin can get to maneuver the filter associates around the bulldoze shaft. I was only able to get mine out after removing the PTO shaft and bending the mounting tab on the filter itself. Information technology'due south a very tight fit and unless you take having hydraulic bug, I wouldn't even attempt to clean it.
Generic Hy-tran might be ok to employ. Check the cantankerous reference table on the oil, if the Ford 134 fluid is listed it volition exist fine. Otherwise, I wouldn't trust it.
It sounds similar y'all might exist new to working on tractors, I highly recommend ownership an owners manual and an I&T service manual. These will be you best references on using and working on the tractor. Skillful luck.

Hi, you say they are not worth cleaning without hydraulic issues but what if you are finding a lot of micro metal particals in the case bottom? I had to remove the side plate to locate function of the pto housing snap ring that had broke off. I found a couple of pieces in the rear section and a couple in the hydraulic area.. Would you lot make clean them at that point or only wipe the housing out and reassemble? Simply looking for opinion..... Thanks
